Sydney's 1st Birthday

I cannot believe it has been a year since our little Sydney joined our family. This year has flown by. It seems like the older I get the faster the time goes. Sydney has been such a joy. She adores Sage and is already copying things she says and does. She started crawling (finally) about a month ago around 11 months old. (it took her a while to become mobile due to her chubbiness)I think it'll be a while before she walks. I look forward to her walking so I won't have to carry her all the time. She weighs 29 pounds now, the same as her sister. :) Sydney is so affectionate and sweet. Such a happy baby. My mom came to visit us and was here for my birthday and for Sydney's birthday. We had a great time with her. On August 5th, Sydney's birthday, we took the girls to get their pictures taken together. On August 7th, my birthday, we had Ed and Lynn, our brother and sister in law, and their children Abbey and Sam over for dinner and cake. Elmo was one of Sydney's first words and we have an Elmo doll that she hugs and kisses every day so I got her an Elmo cake.

Pitcavage Family Rebellion

The Pitcavage Family Rebellion is held every Fourth of July. My Father-in-law Ed likes to spice things up so he called it the family rebellion. This year it was held at an awesome amusement park called Knoebels. They have a ton of kiddie rides and Sage had probably the most exciting day of her life. I wish I would've taken more pictures after the fact but the ones I took turned out cute. Most of John's family was there. Next year we'll have to get a big group picture. We had a great Fourth of July weekend. We traveled to PA for 5 days. John had to do a few repairs on our house in Pittston that's for sale and I cleaned the entire house and we took some new pictures for the listing. We were able to spend time with some close friends from the ward at the Kohlerts house for dinner Sunday the 3rd and the 4th was the reunion. Every time Sage rode a ride at the park she'd ask to do it again. She was fearless. She's especially fond of carousels. We watched fireworks that night at John's parents house and we let Sage stay up for it. She kept on saying "that was a big one!" We had a great trip to PA. Here are some pictures at Knoebels.

Here is Sage with her cousin Lilly. I'm so glad they rode this ride together. They look so cute! Sage looks up to Lilly so much and they have a lot of fun together. We miss living close to her.

My girls matching of course. I already bought matching 4th of July dresses for them to wear next year!

June Pictures

Hey everyone! Below are a few pictures from the month of June. Enjoy the pictures!

We went to the Summer Solstice Event at World's End, a beautiful island near Boston. John's brother Ed worked the event. There was a live band and we brought a picnic and enjoyed the view.

Here's the sunset over the Boston Harbor. It was even more beautiful in person.

This picture was taken with a purpose. Some day (if my Dad has anything to do with it) my girls will be doubles partners and they will be wearing matching outfits. This was taken as a foreshadowing of things to come. :)

Here is John on Father's Day wearing his gift. It was tough getting fabric paint on their hands and positioning them on the shirt but it turned out ok. John said it was the best gift he had ever received.

Sage and Sydney lounging

So... our friends Rick and Vicki gave Sage a gift card to Target for her birthday and we decided to get her a kiddie pool. It was a great decision. It gets really hot in our house, especially in the living area which is on the top floor. Our air conditioner can't keep up on the hot days so the pool has been great. Here are a few pictures of the first day they used it. These will be the only pictures of them in matching swimsuits because I could barely squeeze Sydney into hers. It was borderline child abuse that I even put her in it. I just had to get one use out of it. Serves me right for buying matching suits on clearance last summer assuming she would be a normal size. (they wear the same size clothes now by the way) Anyway, Sage had a blast. She must've gone down that slide 50 times. I'm putting a few other adorable pics of them on this post. They are SO cute together. Enjoy!

How hilarious is this? This would be a great photo to show if she ends up becoming a model!

We put Sage in Sydney's crib one morning. I had to get the camera. It was one of those sweet moments.

Speaking of sweet moments!

Florida Trip

Hey family and friends! I have made a "mid-year" resolution to blog more often. Our girls are growing up so fast and I have all these cute pictures that I'm not sharing and I feel bad about that. Plus I need to record more cute things they do. So, that being said, I have a bunch of pictures to post from the past few months. I'll start with our Florida trip. I went to Panama City Beach, Florida with Sage over Memorial Day weekend. It would've been really difficult to travel with the girls by myself so Sydney stayed home with John. My entire family was there and we had an awesome time. Sage loved the beach and the pool. In fact it's been two months since we got back and she insists on watching videos of Florida every day. She really bonded with Hannah and Mason and Zoe. She especially worships Hannah. Zoe was born in January and this was our first and only time seeing her and she is SO cute! Here are a few pictures of our trip.

We took Sage and Hannah to a mini zoo and they had a blast together

The family on the balcony. The only one missing in this picture is my cousin Courtney

I love this picture of us. Seeing that water makes me want to get on a plane and go back

We moved to Massachusetts!

Hello again! Two posts in one day. I'm on a roll. I wanted to share our news on here. The title says it all. We actually left Pennsylvania! We moved to Massachusetts 2 1/2 weeks ago. I always thought if we moved it would be somewhere warmer but oh well :) Let me take a moment to say how much I hate moving. I think I can say that the day we moved was the most exhausting day of my life. Anyway, we moved here because John is opening up another location of the solar business, Endless Mountains Solar Services. It's an exciting opportunity and he's working really hard to make it happen. So far we really like it here. We're renting this great house in a really cute town called Westborough, 30 miles west of Boston. Our house has a lot of space. My favorite feature is a walk-in closet. It's amazing to have room for all my clothes. We have a huge yard and Sage is loving the room to run around. We're surrounded by trees and we have a bird feeder on the balcony off the living room and Sage is loving seeing the birds. We hear the birds all day. Sage says: "Mommy do you hear the birds?" I say yes and she says: "they're singing, tweet tweet!" She watches them come and eat the bird food and when they fly away she says "bye bye bird!" It's adorable. Let me take a moment to say that we love renting. The house is getting repainted, they're replacing the heating system, and they maintain the grounds. People show up and work on the house. It's a lot better than living with unfinished remodeling projects. John's brother Ed and his wife Lynn live an hour away southeast of Boston and we've been able to see them a few times since we moved. It's so nice to have family nearby. We're getting to know people at church and everyone's really nice. We're having a great time. Anyone who wants to visit, we have a guest room! Seriously, come visit us! I'll post some pictures of the house after I take some.
